delicious protein pancakes recipe

For any fitness enthusiast ensuring you’re getting the right amount of protein in your diet is essential. This protein pancake recipe is a great go-to for a breakfast that’s full of fibre, complex carbs and of course protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rolled oats - Rolled oats are rich in complex carbs, which means they’ll slowly digest throughout the day providing you with energy without the 3 pm crash. They’re also full of protein, healthy fats and fibre.

  • 1 Banana- Bananas are known to be full of potassium and magnesium which will go a long way in terms of recovery, but they’re also full of antioxidants.

  • 2 Eggs- Eggs are nutrient-dense and a staple for most healthy diets.

  • 1/2 cup Protein Powder - Please note that different protein powders may need additional liquid to make sure the final pancakes aren’t too dry.

You can also choose to add any of the following ingredients to get your pancakes mixture to your desired consistency and taste:

  • Flour  - This will help absorb some of the liquid if you find the mixture too runny.

  • Cinnamon - If you want to add a little bit of extra flavour

  • Milk - Milk adds a little bit of moisture to your pancakes as well as additional fat.

Instructions

  1. Mix all of your dry ingredients together

  2. Mix all of your wet ingredients together. Mash the banana and include the eggs

  3. Combine all the ingredients together until absorbed and no lumps are present.

  4. In a hot non-stick pan add oil or butter and start to cook your pancakes.

  5. Enjoy.
